EPE New Zealand Limited (EPE), in collaboration with Bertin Exensor, has been awarded a contract to enhance the reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities of the New Zealand Defence Force. The contract, awarded by the New Zealand Ministry of Defence under the Networked Enabled Army (NEA) Programme, focuses on providing advanced reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities, writes Exensor in a press release.

– A crucial requirement is the proven capacity and ability to deliver equipment and training as well as to undertake ongoing maintenance and support. As a team, EPE and Bertin Exensor have the unique ability to meet this. We also strive to equip soldiers with technology that not only provides a strategic advantage but also enhances decision-making while protecting them from threats, says Andy Cross, General Manager at EPE New Zealand Limited, in the press release.

According to Exensor, EPE will deliver the Flexnet Unattended Ground Sensor (UGS) system, designed by Bertin Exensor. Through a so-called Master Supply Agreement, specialist training and continuous related support will be offered locally in New Zealand as part of the contract from EPE.

– In recent years, the use and need for Flexnet UGS technology among forces worldwide have increased rapidly. Bertin Exensor is proud to have been chosen together with EPE for the delivery of the latest generation of Flexnet UGS, says Marcus Rosenqvist, VP Sales & Marketing at Exensor in the press release.
