Forsvarsmateriell has signed a strategic framework agreement with Accenture for service integration in the defense sector. The agreement, which has a cap of 600 million Norwegian kroner over seven years, will support the development of a new capability within Cyberforsvaret (Forsvarsmateriell).

The aim is to strengthen the digital infrastructure and ensure a comprehensive solution for ICT support, which according to Forsvarsmateriell, will increase operational efficiency, improve governance and control, and promote collaboration in the defense sector.

– The initiative to establish service integration as a capability in Cyberforsvaret is strategic and important. The starting point for an exciting journey of change begins now, says Eiliv Ofigsbø, head of ICT capabilities at Forsvarsmateriell.

Accenture will become a strategic partner and contribute expertise to develop a scalable function. This includes, among other things, optimization of service portfolios, continuous improvement of ICT services, and the introduction of governance models and standardized processes.

The first call-off under the agreement is worth approximately 20 million Norwegian kroner and concerns the establishment project for the capability at Cyberforsvaret.
