The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (FMA) has placed a supplementary order worth approximately 14 million Swedish kronor with the Swedish cybersecurity company Clavister. The order covers all remaining options within the ongoing Tactical Core Network System (TCNS) project.
According to a press release from Clavister, the order includes additional functionality for the TCNS system, including NATO interoperability and associated services for secure and resilient tactical communications. Deliveries are to be carried out in accordance with the existing project plan.
"FMA's decision to exercise all remaining options in the project is a strong testament to the trust that has been built through our collaboration," says Clavister CEO John Vestberg in the press release.
NDS reported in January that the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (FMA) had signed a contract with Clavister worth 280 million Swedish kronor for the development and delivery of TCNS within the Norwegian Armed Forces' Mime programme. The system is being developed to provide a secure, flexible, and resilient network platform for tactical environments where availability, mobility, and cybersecurity are critical requirements.
The company states that the solution enables secure communication between units and systems even under demanding operational conditions. According to Clavister, the new order also strengthens the company's position within the defence segment.
