The Norwegian government and NHIndustries (NHI) have reached a settlement that concludes all legal disputes concerning the Norwegian NH90 programme.
According to a joint press release from the Norwegian government and NHIndustries, the agreement entails that NHI will take back all NH90 helicopters from the Norwegian state, including spare parts, tools, and other equipment. NHI assumes full responsibility for the materiel and plans to make the requested components available to other users.
As part of the settlement, NHI will pay a cash amount of 305 million euros to the Norwegian state, in addition to approximately 70 million euros already paid under previous bank guarantees.
The dispute is thereby fully concluded, and all legal proceedings are terminated. The settlement was reached following dialogue with a mediator at the Oslo District Court, which both parties state was conducted in a professional and confidence-building manner.
