Wallenberg Investments, together with several Nordic companies and foundations, has launched Nordic Compass, an industrial alliance focusing on areas including defence, energy and deep tech. The initiative brings together more than 25 Nordic stakeholders and aims, according to its founders, to develop joint projects to strengthen the region's competitiveness and resilience.
According to a press release from Wallenberg Investments, Nordic Compass will serve as a forum for cooperation between Nordic companies and organisations. Partner companies include Saab, Ericsson, Nokia, Alfa Laval, Nordea, SEB, Vattenfall and Ørsted.
The board is chaired by Jyrki Katainen, former Prime Minister of Finland, and comprises representatives from all the Nordic countries. During the first year, work will focus on four areas: capital markets, deep tech, defence and energy.
