HighCom Technology has signed a contract worth 1.96 million New Zealand dollars with the New Zealand Defence Force. The agreement covers counter-drone systems from MyDefence, along with spare parts and training support.
"Following our recent success in Australia, we are proud that MyDefence's technology has now been selected to support the New Zealand Defence Force," says Dan Hermansen, CEO of MyDefence.
The contract has been signed through MyDefence's regional partner HighCom Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of HighCom Limited, MyDefence writes in a press release. Deliveries are expected to take place during the 2027 financial year.
HighCom Technology will be responsible for regional deliveries, integration, deployment, training and continued support. MyDefence has not disclosed which systems or how many units are included in the order.
The order follows MyDefence's counter-drone systems recently being selected by the Australian Defence Force. According to the Danish company's press release, the agreement builds further on the companies' cooperation in Australia and New Zealand.
