The Danish company Risk Intelligence has been awarded a contract to evaluate future needs for military mobility and supply security in the Nordic countries. The project is being carried out against the backdrop of Sweden's and Finland's NATO membership as well as a changed security situation, and will continue until the summer of 2026.

According to a press release from Risk Intelligence A/S, the company will investigate strategic transport infrastructure and its resilience from an east-west perspective across northern Scandinavia. The work encompasses Central Finland, the Kvarken region, and adjacent areas in Sweden and Norway to identify strategic bottlenecks. The Nordic Defence Sector (NDS) has recently written about the joint Nordic strategy for transport preparedness that was presented in Rovaniemi (Finland).

– We are pleased to have been selected for this project in competition with several strong players. The assignment builds on our previous deliveries within military mobility and is a testament to the company's capabilities in this area, says Hans Tino Hansen, CEO of Risk Intelligence.

The work is part of the Interreg Aurora project FLINC. The specific study is co-financed by the Joint Council for Jämtland Härjedalen (Sweden) and Trøndelag (Norway) as well as MidtSkandia, marking a cross-border interest in strengthening preparedness in the region.
