The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has entered into a new framework agreement for load-carrying systems to be used within the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten). The agreement runs for seven years and covers primarily various types of rucksacks. Seven Nordic suppliers are included in the agreement, which according to FMV will contribute to a more secure supply of equipment.

The suppliers covered by the framework agreement are Promoteq, Snigel Design, Precision Technik Defence, Sacci, Tekonf, Equipnor and Oskar Pedersen, as announced by FMV in a press release.

FMV has placed a first order for the Stridssäck 12 (Combat Pack 12) with delivery at the end of July 2026.

"We are very proud that Promoteq, together with our partner UNIFEQ, has been ranked first in FMV's new seven-year framework agreement for load-carrying systems. We have received a first order for 20,000 units of the Stridssäck 12 (Combat Pack 12), with the first delivery at the end of the summer," writes Promoteq on social media.

The agreement includes, among other things, combat packs, carrying bags, medical rucksacks and bags for protective masks, as well as associated equipment. The products are already in use within the Swedish Armed Forces, but the agreement also provides the opportunity to adapt and further develop the systems.

The framework agreement is based on renewed competition. Orders up to 20 million Swedish kronor are placed through a ranked order among the suppliers, while larger orders are re-tendered competitively among all seven suppliers.

The procurement was published in November 2025 and contracts were signed in March 2026. In addition to FMV, the Swedish Civil Defence Agency (Myndigheten för civilt försvar) and the Swedish Armed Forces may also place call-off orders under the agreement.
