New Properties Inaugurated at Terningmoen

Two newly constructed buildings have been put into use at Terningmoen Regiment outside Elverum (Norway). The buildings replace previous temporary solutions and are part of the Norwegian long-term plan Forsvarsløftet (Defence Lift).

According to Forsvarsbygg's press release, the initiative consists of a new office building and a new residential building for officers, named Midtskogen and Leiret respectively. The office building accommodates up to 88 workstations as well as meeting rooms and social areas. The residential building contains 71 units with private bathrooms and kitchenettes.

– These have become modern, functional, and pleasant buildings where our soldiers can work, rest, and live. It is our task to get it in place – a soldier needs a camp, says Anders Martinsen, project manager at Forsvarsbygg.

The press release states that Forsvarsbygg has recently been tasked with planning three new barracks, a new dining hall building, and the expansion of office facilities, which are expected to be completed in October 2026. Forsvarsbygg is also responsible for the operation of the new buildings.
