NCC has been commissioned by the Swedish Fortifications Agency to construct a building for the storage and training of Air Defense System 103 (Patriot) for the Swedish Armed Forces at the Air Defense Regiment, Lv 6, in Halmstad. The deal amounts to approximately 660 million SEK, construction is planned to start immediately, and the project is expected to be completed in early 2026, according to a press release from NCC.

The building will be a total of approximately 24,000 square meters distributed over two floors. It will include, among other things, halls for trucks and equipment maintenance, special rooms for theory and simulator training, an auditorium, offices, changing rooms, and technical spaces. The area around the building will contain large marshalling areas and will be fenced, according to NCC.

– We have collaborated with the Swedish Fortifications Agency before and are pleased to once again be entrusted to build modern and functional facilities for the Swedish Armed Forces. The training hall is a large and versatile project where NCC has strength in experiences from similar assignments with several different functions in the same building, says Henrik Landelius, Head of NCC Building Sweden, in the press release.

According to a press release from FortV on May 24, 2022, the agency states that the hall will be located at Galgberget, between the regiment area and the airbase area at Halmstad garrison.
