NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) strengthens its investment team with Ulrich Quay and Sander Verbrugge as investment partners, the fund states in a press release.

According to NIF, Quay comes most recently from BMW where he led Corporate Investments and previously founded BMW i Ventures. Verbrugge is recruited from Innovation Industries and holds a PhD in molecular biophysics. NIF also announces that Kelly Chen is leaving her role as a partner to start a new company.

– With Ulrich and Sander on board, we are even stronger in supporting entrepreneurs and fund managers who align with our mission, says Patrick Schneider‑Sikorsky, partner at NATO Innovation Fund.

The government has previously announced that it is ready to join NIF after NATO accession, and that the Swedish contribution will be added to the fund's capital base.
