Danish-Ukrainian Dropla Tech has secured an investment from MITS Capital to scale up production of AI-based systems for mine and drone detection as well as unmanned ground vehicles. The investment will also support the company's integration into the European defence industry.

According to a press release from MITS Capital, neither the investment amount nor the valuation is disclosed.

Dropla Tech develops Blue Eyes Warbox, an Edge AI system that identifies mines, improvised explosive devices and FPV drones directly in sensor data without requiring cloud connectivity. The system is already in use by Ukrainian units and has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN), meaning it can be procured through NATO's standardised logistics system. The company also develops modular unmanned ground vehicles that can be configured for a variety of missions.

According to MITS Capital, the investment will be used to increase production capacity and strengthen cooperation between the Ukrainian and European defence industries. Dropla Tech states that its target is to produce up to 3,000 unmanned ground vehicles per year.

"We were not looking for capital. We were looking for infrastructure," says Viacheslav Shvaidak, CEO and co-founder, in the press release.
