MilDef has received a substantial call-off order worth 320 million kronor under the framework of a previously signed framework agreement with an unnamed NATO country. The order pertains to the delivery of tactical IT equipment to the country's army and includes hardware, software, integration, and lifecycle services.
According to a press release from MilDef, the equipment will be used in a new fleet of military vehicles and contribute to the digitalisation of command capabilities. Deliveries will take place between 2026 and 2028.
– We are now experiencing that the defence build-up is accelerating and that there is a shift from words to action to build both a strong national defence and an integrated part of NATO defence in Europe, says Daniel Ljunggren, CEO and Group President of MilDef, in the press release.
The order is part of the framework agreement signed in 2022 and is the largest in MilDef's history to date, with an estimated value of 2.8 billion kronor over 20 years.
