MilDef has inaugurated its new facility Bastionen in Rosersberg (Sweden). The investment represents a quadrupling of the company's capacity in integration services and aims to meet increased demand from defence and security customers, the company states in a press release.
– The capacity increase in Rosersberg is a proactive step to future-proof our capability and to deliver on a larger scale with high quality and delivery reliability, says Daniel Ljunggren, CEO and Group President of MilDef, in the press release.
The facility comprises 6,500 square metres of office and production space and has been constructed by LEJE Fastigheter AB. MilDef states that the premises enable advanced system integration in high volume, tailored for comprehensive solutions within total defence and security-critical systems.
– Bastionen is a concrete expression of our ambition to be a reliable industrial partner in both national and pan-Nordic projects, says Magnus Hagman, VP Nordics.
The investment is described as a response to increased demands within total defence and a step in adapting to new needs following Sweden's NATO accession. Bastionen is also intended to serve as a hub for the company's operations towards the Swedish market.
