Micropol Fiberoptic and BAE Systems Hägglunds have signed a contract for the delivery of field tactical fiber optics. In connection with the contract, BAE Systems Hägglunds places a significant order with Micropol Fiberoptic for deliveries until 2028, Micropol writes in a press release on November 1.

The order will be produced at Micropol's production unit in Åled outside Halmstad and adds significant volumes to already signed contracts with Hägglunds, Micropol writes. In March, the companies signed a framework agreement regarding the delivery of field tactical fiber optics, in connection with which Hägglunds also placed a "significant order," as Defense Sector News previously reported.

– The order is an important confirmation of our excellent cooperation with BAE Systems Hägglunds. The digitization of defense capabilities in Europe and North America is highly prioritized, and Micropol's position in this area is strong, which is evidenced by the recurring contracts with BAE Systems Hägglunds, says Peter Ljungkvist, Micropol's CEO, in the press release.
