The Nordic Defence Sector strengthens its advisory board by welcoming Mats Warstedt as a new Senior Advisor. Mats Warstedt is currently Vice President Market Area Nordics at Patria, where he is responsible for the company's market development in the Nordic region. He has previously held the role of VP Strategic Development & Innovation at Patria, focusing on long-term business development, innovation, and industrial collaborations.
– The Nordic defence industry is facing a period where collaboration and long-term partnerships will be crucial. The Nordic Defence Sector has the potential to become a unifying force for industry and decision-makers, and I look forward to contributing experiences that can strengthen collaborations and long-term defence capabilities in the Nordic region, says Mats Warstedt.
In addition to Patria, Mats has held several senior leadership roles within the defence and technology industry. He has been CEO of RUAG Space, held leading positions within Saab, including Group SVP Marketing & Sales, and served on the board of INVISIO Communications. Overall, he has broad experience in industrial leadership, international business, and Nordic defence cooperation.
– Mats has a broad and deep understanding of international defence business and how industry, market, and security policy interact. With long experience from leading roles within well-established Nordic defence companies, he brings expertise that is directly relevant to the continued development of the Nordic Defence Sector, says Anton Thynell, founder and CEO of the Nordic Defence Sector.
Mats Warstedt becomes part of the company's Advisory Board, whose role is to contribute strategic perspectives and experiences that strengthen the organisation's long-term direction, together with other members.
In January, Henrik Graff-Hedberg also joined the company's Advisory Board. He is currently Director of Communications and Head of Government Affairs at BAE Systems Bofors, with previous experience from, among others, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), the Government Offices of Sweden, and the communications industry.
