The Lund District Court has today sentenced a 71-year-old man, residing in Skåne, for gross unauthorised handling of classified information. The 71-year-old is said to have collected and disseminated information about secret defence installations. According to SVT, the man had information on 41 defence installations.

According to a press release from Säpo, the authority has conducted the preliminary investigations under the leadership of prosecutors at the National Unit for Security Cases. Charges were brought earlier this year and today the man is sentenced to a conditional sentence and daily fines. In addition, he is also deprived of cameras and memory cards discovered during a house search, according to SVT.
