What is your background?

I have worked in politics for the past 20 years, the last eight of them as a Member of the Swedish Parliament for the Moderate Party, including more than six years as a member of the Defence Committee. During my time in parliament, I worked primarily on Sweden's defence and security policy, the development of the defence industry, and Nordic cooperation within the Nordic Council. Before that, I worked in investment banking. However, I began my career at an American software company, so it is somewhat fitting that the circle has closed, given the significant IT content in STARK's products.

Why did you choose to work in the defence sector?

Defence and security issues have engaged me for a long time, and in today's world they feel more important than ever. When the opportunity arose to continue working on these issues from the industry side, it therefore felt very natural. I was drawn to the chance to contribute to concrete solutions and to work closely with the technological development that strengthens the security of Sweden and Europe.

What made you accept the role of Senior Director of Public Affairs, responsible for the Nordic and Baltic region, at STARK?

What appealed to me most was the combination of people, technology and societal benefit. STARK is a young and rapidly growing European company with high ambitions and a clear purpose. Developments in Ukraine have shown the decisive importance of unmanned systems and new technology on the modern battlefield, and I look forward to contributing to the company's continued development in our part of Europe.

What does your new position involve?

I will be building and developing STARK's relationships with politics, the defence sector and the business community in the Nordic and Baltic region. An important part of the role will also be to raise awareness of the company and to engage in dialogue about how STARK's technology can contribute to the region's defence capability and industrial capacity.

What is at the top of your agenda for the next six months?

The first period will mainly be about getting to know the organisation, meeting partners and building long-term relationships in the Nordic and Baltic region. STARK is still a relatively new company in many markets, which also presents significant opportunities. I look forward to telling people more about who we are, what we are developing together with our partners, and how we can help strengthen the region's defence capability going forward.
