According to a press release, Lännen Tractors Oy has received the largest single order in the company's history. The order is worth approximately 35 million euros and concerns the Lännen 8800M-DF model, which will be delivered to a European NATO country.
– This is the largest single order in Lännen Tractors' history. It strengthens both our product's competitiveness and our position within the European defence industry. We are very proud to deliver these machines for demanding NATO operations, says Veli Ollila, CEO of Lännen Tractors Oy.
In addition to the backhoe loaders themselves, the order also includes spare parts as well as training in operation and maintenance for the customer's personnel. According to the company, the comprehensive solution will ensure efficient and long-term use in demanding environments.
The machine is NATO-compatible, which means it can be integrated with the alliance's systems, while also opening up more business opportunities within NATO procurements, according to the company.
The Lännen 8800M-DF can be used for tasks such as obstacle clearance, construction work, mine laying, and maintenance of field infrastructure. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2028.
This week, the company announced that it has also completed the delivery of the Lännen 8800M-DF to the Finnish Defence Forces.
