What is your background?
– I have a technical background that gradually transitioned to leading and developing businesses. Previously, I have held roles as CEO and business area manager in the IT sector, focusing on product companies. Since 2012, I have worked in leading roles at two Swedish companies developing encryption solutions to protect security-classified information, namely signal protection systems.
Why did you choose to work in the defense sector?
– For me, it's about the challenge of translating advanced technology into solutions that meet high security and availability requirements. Additionally, I truly appreciate the people I get the opportunity to work with. There is a strong drive in the defense sector that inspires me.
What attracted you to eCiceron specifically?
– There are several factors that attracted me. eCiceron has significant technical expertise and has already developed several interesting products. At the same time, there are a number of promising product concepts that have not yet been launched but with which we have already participated in exercises in real environments. Most recently, our new Mesh solution, called eC-Guard Mesh, to build robust and resilient networks. With my background in signal protection products, it feels very inspiring to now focus on products that establish the networks that encryption solutions can utilize.
Another important aspect is the collaboration with the founder, Marc Rantanen. We complement each other well and share common visions for how eCiceron can grow.
What does your new position as Deputy CEO entail?
– I work closely with Marc, who is the CEO and founder, and we allocate our responsibilities according to our respective strengths. Marc is incredibly technically competent and focuses on innovation and technology, while I have a background in building and developing businesses, defining and productizing offerings, and introducing them to the market. In this way, we can transform eCiceron's technical expertise into solutions that create real customer value. We both see great opportunities to continue expanding eCiceron.
Why has the role of Deputy CEO been established now?
– There is increased market interest in eCiceron's solutions, especially in the defense and public sectors, and we see potential to grow. To meet demand and handle more projects, we need to strengthen management and ensure that we can scale up operations in a sustainable and efficient way.
What is at the top of your agenda in the near future?
– The focus is on continuing to develop our organization and our products. We have skilled employees with deep expertise, so part of my role is to support and lead them as we strengthen our existing customer relationships and establish new ones. Additionally, we will increase the pace of product development so that the innovative technologies we have developed become finished, commercial products.
Finally, what are you most looking forward to in your new role?
– It will be exciting to work on taking eCiceron to the next level. We have a stable and long-term ownership structure through MW Group, which creates good conditions for growth. MW Group is a Nordic industrial group with a clear goal: to strengthen both societal resilience and defense capability by investing in companies whose technology can be adapted to meet both military and civilian needs. Combining my background in business development with an organization that has great innovative power backed by a secure Swedish ownership structure feels very inspiring.
