The government has tasked the Swedish Armed Forces with offering NATO to establish a Joint Logistics Support Group Headquarters in Sweden, with the goal for the headquarters to be operational by the end of 2027, according to the Government Offices. According to the press release, the planned location is in Enköping, with staffing in peacetime around 70 people, which can grow to 160 during heightened readiness.

According to the Swedish Armed Forces, Sweden will make a formal offer in September, and the headquarters is referred to as Joint Logistic Support Group Headquarters North West, JLSG HQ NW, with the capability to handle troop movements up to division size.

The government announcement states that the headquarters will be part of NATO's command structure and staffed centrally by NATO, with the possibility for all allies to place staff officers.
