Germany signs contract with BAE Systems to purchase 227 armoured vehicles of the BvS10 model for approximately 400 million USD. The delivery period is estimated from 2024 to 2030. The new order concerns armoured vehicles for troop transport and three new variants developed specifically for the Germans, according to a press release from BAE Systems on 24 April.

The three new variants are a command vehicle and two different logistics vehicles. The contract does not pertain to the 140 armoured vehicles that Germany purchased in December 2022 in a joint procurement with Sweden and the United Kingdom.

- This will secure Germany's access to these vehicles for decades to come and is a testament to the strong relations between BAE Systems and Germany, says Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, CEO of BAE Systems Hägglunds.
