Defence Sector News (FSN) and the Swedish Soldiers' Homes Association are initiating a collaboration. Initially, FSN will be featured on the association's new website and later in other channels.
- Information about the defence sector is in demand among conscripts and also among other personnel categories. Since the Soldiers' Homes serve as a platform for both learning and information dissemination, it feels natural to collaborate with Defence Sector News, says Andreas Philipsson, Secretary General of the Swedish Soldiers' Homes Association.
The number of conscripts is steadily increasing each year. In 2025, approximately 8,000 people are expected to complete conscription. Politically, there is talk of increasing this number to 10,000 people per year as soon as possible.
- The collaboration means that we potentially reach an additional eight to ten thousand young adults annually. It is an important part of public engagement that young people have a good understanding of the defence sector's cycle and actors. They, in turn, become ambassadors for peers and siblings. Perhaps even for parents, concludes Elias Mibesjö, founder of Defence Sector News.
