Sweden's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) at the signals intelligence agency FRA will soon launch its annual Tänk Säkert ("Think Safe") campaign in October. It runs the campaign together with the Swedish Police Authority and more than 20 public and private partners.
The Swedish Civil Defence Agency previously ran the campaign with the police. Responsibility passed to FRA when the agency's cyber activities moved to FRA on 1 July, as previously reported by NDS.
This year's theme is "Safer online". The campaign runs during EU Cybersecurity Month, with adverts across different mediums all across Sweden.
– Small changes in our digital habits can make a big difference and reduce the risk of falling victim to fraud or other cyber threats, said Ola Billger, FRA's head of communications.
A separate strand targets 15- to 18-year-olds and covers money laundering. FRA says criminals are increasingly using teenagers to move money through Swish or bank accounts.
– If the money comes from crime, the banks can block your BankID and bank account, and you can be convicted of money laundering, said Johan Halling of the police's National Fraud Centre.
According to NCSC, it will release three short films with the police on social media during October.
