FRA Increases Security: Random Checks at Lovön
FRA has implemented random checks at Lovön as a security measure following Säpo's increase of the terror threat level. The checks involve both individuals and vehicles at the agency's facility.
On the occasion of Säpo's increase of the terror threat level, FRA is conducting checks on Rörbyvägen at the agency's main facility on Lovön, Stockholm. The checks will include spot checks as well as individuals and vehicles that attract the guards' attention, according to a press release from FRA.
The measures are taken under the Protection Act. The checks mean that anyone passing FRA's facility on Rörbyvägen or located in the immediate vicinity of the protected area is obliged, upon request by FRA's security guard, to stop, answer a number of questions, and show their vehicle and cargo, the agency writes.
