FortV conducted inspections of FRA's construction contractors

Fortifikationsverket has conducted targeted inspections of construction contractors with security protection agreements at the National Defence Radio Establishment this week. The operation is a continuation of last year's "Operation SUA" and focuses on areas with high protection values, writes FortV in a press release.

– Right now, there is significant pressure on the agency – we are building new, renovating, and upgrading across Sweden. The growth within total defence means we are managing a large number of contractors, which increases the demand for precision in how we work. The goal is to contribute to an increased defence capability as effectively as we can, says Anders Henningsson, Fortifikationsverket's Head of Security Protection in the press release.

The agency states that they "generally do not find deficiencies after completed inspections," but emphasises that information security requires special attention and that the inspections are appreciated by the contractors.

– The security protection area is complex, but the inspection activities contribute to raising both our and the contractors' level of knowledge, and we see that this promotes cooperation with them, says Anders Henningsson.
