The Swedish Fortifications Agency (Fortifikationsverket) plans to purchase the property Gate:01 in Solna (near Stockholm, Sweden) from Fastighets AB Solna Haga for approximately 3.5 billion kronor. The acquisition, expected to be completed in September 2026, is being undertaken to meet the Swedish Armed Forces' (Försvarsmakten) growing local needs.

– This property meets those requirements. It is well located with its proximity to Stockholm and creates space for the Swedish Armed Forces' significant growth, says Magnus Önnestig, Chief of Staff at the Swedish Fortifications Agency.

The property Solna Haga 2:8 is situated in Frösundavik between the E4 motorway and Brunnsviken. The facility comprises 50,000 square metres of floor space and 20 hectares of land. According to the Swedish Fortifications Agency, the purchase is currently conditional upon government approval of the transaction.

Following a potential acquisition, extensive work is anticipated to adapt the existing buildings. Once these adaptations are completed, the Swedish Armed Forces will be able to move in and utilise the premises for their operations.
