The SKF board has announced that Håkan Buskhe will be appointed as the new chairman of the board for the group's automotive business. The announcement comes as SKF prepares to separate the business, with the goal of listing it separately on Nasdaq Stockholm through a Lex Asea distribution to shareholders.

Buskhe is currently the CEO of FAM AB and vice chairman of SKF, but is perhaps best known for his nine years as CEO of Saab between 2010 and 2019.

SKF's current chairman Hans Stråberg emphasizes that Buskhe's experience makes him well-suited to lead the automotive business into the next phase. "He is a recognized and highly experienced business leader with qualifications to lead international companies. He is therefore well-positioned to support the automotive business on its journey to becoming a fully independent entity," says Stråberg in SKF's press release.
