The technology originally developed by Bofors in the 1990s has the capacity to clear 5,000 square meters per hour. This can be compared to the 35 square meters per day that a manual mine clearer can manage. The vehicle's efficiency thus frees up personnel resources that can be used in other areas, such as clearing ditches and buildings.
- An investment in Swedish mine-clearing technology would make a significant difference for Ukraine by saving lives and supporting the country's reconstruction, says Håkan Rydbergh, CEO of Rybro International.
To realize the project, it is necessary for the Swedish government to include Mine-Guzzler in the support package to Ukraine. The goal is to deliver the vehicles as soon as possible.
- If the project is approved, Swedish companies are ready to quickly start production and contribute to securing Ukraine's future, says Johan Ljungner at Camatec, who is responsible for the final assembly of the vehicles.
Several Swedish companies are participating in the collaboration, including BE Group, which supplies steel for the vehicle, and Linde Metallteknik, which is responsible for advanced welding.
