Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, has signed a framework agreement with Svekon for systems that supply submarine units with liquid oxygen, lime and gases. According to FMV, the agreement is worth SEK 150 million.

— The equipment must be usable both from ships and from trucks and quays, says Frida Ollas, strategic buyer at FMV.

The equipment has two modules. One is a 10-foot container for liquid oxygen. The other is a 20-foot container for handling lime and gas.

The systems will go to the naval base battalions so they can supply submarine units ashore and at sea. FMV says the equipment makes the battalions more sustainable, mobile and flexible, giving them greater tactical freedom of action. Deliveries will be made continuously. FMV has not given a timeline.

FMV published the procurement in autumn 2025, after developing a concept with the Swedish Armed Forces. FMV has already delivered new harbour tugs. Production of work vessels and new auxiliary ships is under way, as previously reported by NDS.
