FMV has entered into a framework agreement with MP-SEC AB to deliver explosive ordnance disposal protective suits to the Swedish Armed Forces. The suits will be used for clearing ammunition and explosive objects and have been tested in verification and validation processes during the procurement.

– The suit is certified according to Bomb Suit NIJ Standard 0117.01 with an increased protection level and built-in body cooling system, says Lisa You, project manager at FMV's field operations unit, in a press release from the agency.

The agreement includes deliveries to the Swedish Armed Forces starting in 2025 and is valid for three years, with the possibility of extension for up to seven years. The total contract value is estimated at 250 million kronor. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and the Police Authority are also entitled to call off orders under the framework agreement.
