Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the remote weapon station Trackfire (Remote Weapon Station, RWS). The order value is approximately 1.5 billion SEK, with deliveries scheduled from 2026 to 2028.

In Saab's press release, it is stated that the order will support the Swedish Army as well as the Amphibious Battalion 2030, an ongoing defence project aimed at developing future amphibious units within the Swedish Armed Forces. According to Saab, the order was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Saab states that Trackfire is a fully stabilised, remote-controlled weapon station with two weapon systems that can be used while in motion and can be mounted on naval platforms, land vehicles, or fixed defence positions. According to the press release, FMV's order also includes Trackfire ARES (Aerial Response), equipped with a 30x113 mm M230LF Bushmaster chain gun as the primary weapon. Saab indicates that this provides capability against drones, C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems).
