The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration has placed an order worth approximately 1.04 billion SEK with Ovzon for the delivery of a complete satellite communication solution. The deal includes network services, mobile terminals, and customer support, spanning a period of 24 months with delivery starting in June 2025, the company states in a press release.

FMV's order includes Ovzon's SATCOM service "Ovzon Hero," based on satellite capacity via third parties, as well as a large number of mobile satellite terminals from the company's product portfolio. The terminals are adapted for various types of missions, including manned and unmanned applications. Of the total order value, approximately 220 million SEK pertains to terminal purchases, with one-third delivered immediately and the remainder gradually over the contract period.

The network services in the agreement build on a previous contract signed in September 2024. The current agreement involves both an extension and an expansion of the services that FMV previously procured from Ovzon.
