FMV Orders Protective Equipment for the Armed Forces

During the year, FMV has placed several orders for personal protective equipment to enhance the Swedish Armed Forces' capabilities. The measures are carried out within the framework of accelerated procurement and include, among other things, face shields, protective gloves, protective suits, and liquid protection.

Face Shield 90CE is delivered by System Engineering Solutions 37 (SES 37) and will be fully delivered by September. The order, with a contract value of approximately 40 million SEK, has been executed through an existing framework agreement.

– With the experience built up over the past years' deliveries, both internally at FMV and with the supplier, they can be carried out both quickly and with high quality, says Mats Backlund, systems engineer at FMV, in a press release from the agency.

FMV has also ordered disposable chemical protective suits from Equipnor AB valued at approximately 15 million SEK, with delivery planned before the end of the year.

Protective gloves are procured via a joint NATO framework agreement, which according to FMV is the first time it has been used for this type of procurement. The gloves are to be delivered in January 2026, and the contract value is approximately three million SEK.

C-liquid protection, intended as personal protection during CBRN events, is ordered from Interspiro AB and is to be delivered in April 2026. The value of this order is approximately ten million SEK.
