FMV Orders BONUS Ammunition for 600 Million
The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has signed a new contract with BAE Systems Bofors for the delivery of additional BONUS artillery shells to the Swedish Armed Forces. The agreement is valued at approximately 600 million SEK and includes deliveries over several years, FMV states in a press release.

BONUS (Bofors Nutating Shell) is a 155 mm artillery shell equipped with two target-seeking submunitions designed to combat armored vehicles with top-attack capability. The ammunition is jointly developed by Bofors and the French defense company KNDS.

– With additional orders of BONUS shells, we secure deliveries for several years ahead and strengthen the Swedish Armed Forces' indirect fire capability, says Carl-Axel Blomdahl, Head of Weapons and Protection at FMV, in the press release.

According to Bofors, the contract is a testament to the product's performance and significance in operational use.

– The new contract further strengthens the Swedish Armed Forces' indirect fire capability and shows that our products make a difference, comments Henrik Knape, Sales Manager Ammunition, in a post on LinkedIn.
