The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration has placed a new order for 22 combat boats from Saab valued at approximately 900 million SEK, reports the agency. The boats will be added to the amphibious units and delivered gradually over the coming years.

The order follows the contract in June 2024 when FMV purchased ten combat boats of the latest variant Combat Boat 90 HSM for around 400 million SEK, a purchase that replaced vessels donated to Ukraine.

According to Saab, all boats are manufactured at the shipyard in Docksta.

– This order represents a significant addition to Sweden's naval capabilities. We are proud that our combat boats continue to contribute to the Swedish defense, says Mats Wicksell, head of the Kockums business area.
