FMV has signed an agreement with Promoteq AB for advanced respiratory protection, according to a press release published today. The contract value amounts to approximately 100 million kronor and delivery to the Swedish Armed Forces is planned for the end of the year.

The respiratory protection is used, among other things, by the Swedish Armed Forces' explosive ordnance disposal platoons during special missions, where there is generally poor air quality or where it is suspected that there may be harmful substances in the air. The respiratory protection also has built-in electronic voice amplification so that the user can communicate better with their partner.

– It is important that those who perform this type of task have the endurance to carry out their work, and it should be easy to breathe. Fan-assisted breathing makes it easy to breathe during work. The respiratory protection is the finest available on the market today, says Gunnar Palm, project manager at FMV.
