FMV has now begun delivering Kokkärra 24 to the Swedish Armed Forces, a mobile field kitchen with the capacity to prepare three meals daily for up to 500 people. The new field kitchen has been developed to meet the increased demands for flexibility and efficient cooking in the field, FMV states in a press release.

The new field kitchen, which weighs approximately 2500 kilograms, is equipped with an oven, a griddle, and two large kettles. It can be staffed by up to four people simultaneously and can also be operated by a single cook if necessary.

According to FMV, the new field kitchen will be used both within the defense and during larger field exercises. In addition to its capacity, it also offers an improved working environment with spacious areas and modern lighting. The system also features an automatic diesel burner, which simplifies the cooking process and creates a quieter working environment.

During the spring, FMV conducted training for technicians and instructors within the Swedish Armed Forces, where participants learned both the technology and cooking in the new system.
