The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has delivered a Helicopter 14 (HKP 14) to the Swedish Armed Forces, this time to the helicopter wing in Luleå (northern Sweden). Before delivery, it underwent a delivery inspection led by FMV with specialists from both the agency and the Swedish Armed Forces. According to a press release from FMV on 3 May, the helicopter has undergone various modifications to achieve full capability.

– With this delivery, we are proud to contribute to further strengthening capability and availability in the north, says Lena Matz, project manager for Helicopter 14 at FMV.

FMV has now delivered a land operational model, called HKP 14E, which differs from the sea operational model called HKP 14F. According to the Swedish Armed Forces' website, the sea operational model is equipped with sonar and radar, enabling it to be used for anti-submarine warfare.

FMV states in its press release that four more HKP 14 helicopters remain to be delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces; two HKP 14E to Luleå and two HKP 14F to Ronneby (southern Sweden). FMV is awaiting delivery from the industry of these and expects to receive them during this and next year.
