– This year, we have delivered four helicopters to the Swedish Armed Forces, three land-operational and one sea-operational. And by spring, we hope to receive the last helicopter, which has a sea-operational capability. It is equipped with sonar equipment and tactical radar for anti-submarine warfare, says Kjell Andersson at FMV in the agency's press release.
In May, a unit of the land-operational version, Hkp 14E, was delivered to the helicopter wing in Luleå.
Helicopter 14, Hkp 14, is the Swedish version of the NH90 from NATO Helicopter Industries (NHI). It is the result of a European industrial collaboration and has been ordered by 14 countries, with over 500 units delivered in total. Sweden has ordered 18 units, and currently, seventeen have been delivered in the final configuration.
