In the first step, FMV has signed an agreement with Saab regarding the further development of the LSS Mark architecture (the type system) and integration, which includes testing and verification of the type system's configurations.
– We are extremely pleased to have agreed on the forms for a partnership that strengthens and develops the relationship and capability that FMV and Saab have built up over many years. Together, we are now taking the step from the last two decades of small-scale trial operations to full-scale production, says Magnus Ernfors, program manager LSS Mark, FMV.
The introduction of LSS Mark is extensive and technically advanced, with products and platforms from many different actors. As the task also involves significant risks and a great need for flexibility, FMV realized a couple of years ago that we need to seek external support to be able to deliver this capability to the Swedish Armed Forces.
– With Saab as a partner, our ability to deliver and maintain the command capability that the Swedish Armed Forces demand is improved. With the partnership, we have established a framework. But now the important work of building trust and delivery capability begins, which will be a success factor for the introduction and maintenance of LSS Mark, says Magnus Ernfors.
