The first three BvS10 tracked vehicles in the joint procurement program for Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom have now been delivered from BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik.
The procurement is based on a framework agreement signed by Sweden in 2022, which has since been opened to other countries. The United Kingdom and Germany chose to join through separate orders within the same framework.
The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration ordered 236 vehicles for the Swedish Armed Forces, after which Germany ordered 140 and the United Kingdom 60. Subsequently, Germany placed a separate order for an additional 227 vehicles. In total, the program now includes 663 vehicles to be delivered by 2028.
– The mobility that the BvS10 offers provides user countries with a modern capability ready to be used in the most demanding environments, says Tommy Gustafsson Rask, CEO of BAE Systems Hägglunds, in the company's press release.
The vehicle, which is used for troop transport, logistics, medical transport, recovery, and command, is based on the latest version of the BvS10 already used by the Swedish Armed Forces.
