The first Archer 8x8 artillery piece has left production at BAE Systems Bofors in preparation for upcoming deliveries to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), the company announced in a post on LinkedIn.

The company's CEO, Lena Gillström, highlights the importance of the employees' work and the collaboration with FMV:

– I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who are here today. Many of you are involved in ensuring that we will soon deliver the first piece and begin serial deliveries to FMV and the end customer, the Swedish Armed Forces. I am very pleased that we have so many skilled and dedicated employees – and that we also have good cooperation with FMV. This would not have been possible without you, says Lena Gillström 

The post states that the work is now entering the next phase ahead of the first delivery to FMV.
