Finland will deliver its 31st defence materiel package to Ukraine. The decision was made by the President of Finland on 16 January 2026 following a proposal from the Council of State.

In a press release from the Ministry of Defence Finland, it is stated that the value of the current deliveries amounts to approximately 98 million euros. In total, Finland has delivered defence materiel to Ukraine worth approximately 3.1 billion euros, according to the Ministry of Defence.

– This time, we have swiftly assembled a package that helps meet the most critical needs at present. The procurement programme to support Ukraine from the domestic defence industry is also progressing as planned throughout the year. Finland continues to support Ukraine with defence materiel, as it is the most effective way to promote a just peace, says Antti Häkkänen, Finland's Minister of Defence, in the press release.

For operational reasons and to ensure that the support reaches its destination safely, no further details about the content, delivery method, or schedule are provided. According to the Ministry of Defence, both Ukraine's needs and the resource situation of the Finnish Defence Forces have been considered.
