Finland Investigates Nature Restoration for Defence Purposes

Finland is examining how nature restoration can be coordinated with defence interests, particularly in eastern Finland, to create natural barriers and enhance biodiversity. A working group from the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Defence is planning pilot projects in border areas and on military training grounds to combine environmental and security objectives.
