Anders Persson began his military career as a reserve officer in the artillery before training as a pilot in the Air Force. He has worked in the planning section of the strategy department at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters, served as the head of the Air Combat School in Uppsala, acted as a defence attaché at the embassy in Bern, and been a lecturer at the Swedish Defence University.
– I have a great interest in international affairs, and as Sweden is now set to become a member - sooner or later - it is an honour to be asked to personally participate in this work. Now I will work on the Swedish Armed Forces' mission together with others in the NATO delegation, says Anders Persson.
Persson has held the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor since last summer and will assume his new role on 1 August 2023.
