Swedish cloud company Evroc is developing a European cloud platform together with the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) for the new command system Swedish Interoperable Combat Cloud (SINCC). The platform will handle security-classified information within Swedish, NATO, and EU frameworks.
According to a press release from Evroc, the platform is being developed in close collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces and is to be accredited for information at the NATO Restricted level. The aim is to ensure that sensitive military information and command functions remain under Swedish and European control.
SINCC will provide Swedish units with a shared common operating picture in real time and enable interoperability with NATO allies. According to Evroc, the solution draws on experience from Ukraine's command system Delta, where rapid sharing and analysis of information has been of great significance on the battlefield.
- This strengthens Sweden's security and our ability to act independently when it truly matters. Information of this sensitivity must be handled on infrastructure that we ourselves own and control. With AI, a common operating picture can be analysed and translated into decisions at machine speed, on a platform that Sweden can trust, says Mattias Åström, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Evroc.
The programme is being carried out by the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV, Försvarets materielverk), and Teracom, together with Evroc, Elastisys, Freja, and Aityr.
