Edvin Dribe has become the new ombudsman for the Association of Reserve Officers and will support reserve officers within the Armed Forces. He has previous experience in law and voluntary organisations.

Edvin Dribe New Ombudsman for the Association of Reserve Officers
Edvin Dribe has assumed the position of new ombudsman for the Association of Reserve Officers, a role in which he will support reserve officers within the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten). Dribe has previously served as chairman of the Academic Officers' Society in Stockholm (capital of Sweden) and has experience from both studies and work in law as well as volunteer organisations.

– We are extremely pleased with this reinforcement. As the Swedish Armed Forces are set to expand, more reserve officers will serve and require advice and support, says Magnus Konradsson, the association's chairman, in a press release from the association.

With the Swedish Armed Forces' growth plans, the need for reserve officers is increasing, and Dribe will, among other things, focus on enhancing knowledge about and support for reserve officers at each unit. Edvin Dribe is currently studying law at Stockholm University and also serves part-time at the 1st Division Staff.

– Reserve officers are a crucial factor for the growth of the Swedish Armed Forces, contributing both broad competence and high availability. Unfortunately, many willing to serve face a bleak reality, and we must assist them. It will be very exciting to be part of the effort to improve the situation, especially with such an engaged membership behind us, says Edvin Dribe.
