Denmark's Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (FMI) has ordered new Grenade Launcher Sight Mounts (GLSM) from Swedish company Spuhr to improve grenade launcher accuracy in the Danish Army.
The GLSM is a single, adjustable sight mount designed to fit multiple grenade launcher types and ammunition variants used by Danish forces, replacing several separate aiming systems soldiers currently rely on. FMI expects delivery to begin in early 2027.
The order follows Denmark's 2025 acquisition of new grenade launchers, bought to replace weapons the country had donated to Ukraine.
Colonel Thomas Øgendahl Knudsen, head of the Land Division at FMI, said the new sight "gives us a completely different form of flexibility in ensuring the best possible accuracy with grenade launchers." He added that it will “reduce the need for specialised equipment across the different grenade launcher and ammunition types in the Danish Armed Forces”.
CEO of Spuhr Ulf Nilsson said that the order “is an important recognition of Spuhr’s engineering expertise”, and that the company “is pleased to support the Danish Armed Forces with a solution that meets both current and future operational needs”
Aimpoint, whose COA reflex sight is fitted to the new mount, said on LinkedIn that it has "worked closely with Spuhr i Dalby AB for many years" and is "glad to see that cooperation contributing to yet another capable solution".
