Denmark Orders Mid-Life Upgrade of CV90
Denmark has ordered a mid-life upgrade of its CV90 fleet from BAE Systems, which includes new turrets and improved ergonomics. The upgrade aims to enhance the vehicles' performance and protection.
The vehicles will be integrated with new turrets, allowing for the introduction of new weapon systems, including anti-tank missiles. The upgrade will also include improvements to the vehicle's ergonomics and reduce weight, noise, and vibrations through the use of rubber tracks, writes BAE Systems.
– The upgrades will provide the Danish CV90 crews with enhanced protection and increased capability, while ensuring the functionality of the Danish Army's existing fleet of CV90 vehicles, says Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, CEO of BAE Hägglunds, in the company's press release.
In February, BAE Systems signed a 15-year framework agreement with DALO to provide repair and maintenance services for Denmark's CV90 fleet.
